Please feel free to contact us with any questions or queries you may have about the service NZWeddingz provides.
Do I need to book in advance?
Absolutely. Most people secure their bookings at least 12-18 months in advance especially if your wedding is during November or February, as these seem to be the most popular months. Hamilton currently has very few qualified professional wedding videographers. Weddings during these months are often booked 2 years in advance! Contact us to see if your date is still available...
Do I have a choice of photograph film types?
All photography is now completed using high end digital cameras. Yes you have the choice of colour, black and white and artistically altered photographs. This will be discussed in conjunction with your photographer as to your personal preferences.
How long will the finished DVD be?
Cameras will be rolling for almost the entire day to capture as many special moments as possible. After editing, the wedding DVD will usually run from between 60 to 90 minutes, although this is dependent on the day.
What do I get in my package?

How many Cameras with Operators do you use?
Two or more cameras will provide a more interesting and vibrant video.
Do you charge a travelling cost?
Due to the mounting costs of petrol, NZWeddingz charges a travelling cost on any of our packages that we offer, if travelling is required outside of the Hamilton City boundary. This will be charged on a case by case basis
When will I get my finished DVD and photos?
We aim for the finished video and/or photographs being delivered to you within 6-8 (six-eight) weeks of your wedding day. This is dependent on the proofs being confirmed by the wedding couple in a timely manner (without the need to feel rushed). Although we reserve the right during particularly busy seasons, to take a little longer than the advertised timeframe. Rushed wedding video DVDs and photographs can appear to be rushed when finished in a hurried timeframe, so we like to take the time to ensure a lasting memory that is professionally finished.
What should I look for in a professional video DVD?
The picture and sound should be crystal clear as these are the two most important aspects of the video. The titles should have a professional look and be clear, concise and easy to read. The production should be tightly and tastefully edited, making the tape more enjoyable to watch than real time raw footage. A less experienced videographer will try to use special effects in a gimmicky way. The most important element to shop for is the actual videographer, whose experience and talents are what you really want.
How should I choose a videographer?
Price plays a key role in determining your selection of professionals, and there is a photographer and videographer for every budget. After determining your spending limit, then you can begin to evaluate your professionals for quality, experience and compatibility.
Will my photographer and a videographer work together?
Wedding videography is relatively new, only coming into its own in the past ten years. Wedding photography, on the other hand, has been around for almost 150 years! Generally, photographers and videographers get along just fine.
